A very large quantity of Wood will be required for Government purposes in the erection of Civil, Naval and Military Buildings on this Island on the receipt of the shortly expected Instructions from Her Majesty's Government and as I have positively ascertained, that little or none of good quality and proper dimensions is to be purchased even at an exorbitantly high price, I have determined to send to Manila to procure a supply
